It is with our greatest pleasure we announce that on March 31st 2010, CAPTAINVINEYARDS was awarded the GREEN BUSINESS CERTIFICATION. We are the first winery in CONTRA COSTA COUNTY to acquire such certification. We do believe that being green is environmentally and economically sound and rewarding.
examples:

1- Electrical and Gas (Energy) consumption is minimized (PG&E Audit)
2- Water consumption is minimized (EBMUD Audit)
3- Chemical sanitizers, fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides are eliminated or minimized (CCCSD Audit)
4- All Organic waste from vineyard and winery is Mulched and recycled back into the vineyard (CCWaste Disposal Audit)
