Eagle Hill Wines and Vineyards is located in Moraga, Ca, 2 miles behind St. Mary's College in a very rural, hilly area.
We have 461 vines. Block 1 is Cabernet Sauvignon, 246 vines planted in 2006. Block 2 is Sangiovese, 135 vines, and Cabernet Franc, 80 vines, planted in 2008. Block 1 had its first harvest in 2008 with the wine aged in a small French oak barrel, and was bottled In March of 2010. Our long term plan is to make a blend. We have received Federal, State and local licenses that allow us to use a separate custom crusher that will then allow us to place Eagle Hill Wines labeled bottles in local wine stores and restaurants, and to sell through our web site, www.eaglehillgroup.net . Accordingly, for our 2009 harvest we brought our grapes to Captain Vineyards, Moraga, CA, our custom crusher (bonded winery), who is making our wine for us, with our input. Our LLC is Eagle Hill Group LLC and we operate with a dba of Eagle Hill Wines and Vineyards.
